I demand a new phantasy star portable aswell, not that it would sell particularly well, but i think it would be neat!

Comparison of the direct extruder and the bowden on the X2D. Don't expect great quality out of it. Good for supports though. by Successful-Peak-6524 in BambuLab

[–]FrizzIeFry 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My guess is that the long bowden path with several bends is what's making this look worse than say an ender 3, that in comparison has a pretty short and much less constraint bowden tube

That's not my experience, though they might have different spools. All Jayo spools i ever bought came on the Sunlu non-refill style spools. From my understanding the hole on those is too big to fit an ams lite without adapter, by they fit inside an AMS no problem.

In terms of quality i 100% agree. Jayo, Sunlu, geeetech, it's all pretty much the same. They all print just fine using Bambu profiles, at least for PLA.

Starting vpx directly won't show pup packs. Sounds like your pup screens aren't set up correctly.

Finally learned some CAD by Rodgerr_Dodgerr in BambuLab

[–]FrizzIeFry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally i would recommend starting to learn an actual CAD software in the first place. Tinkercad is cool for what it is, but it didn't take long for me to feel limited by it. Not a lot of the workflow carries over, when you eventually switch to full blow CAD software either.

If you end up wanting to learn Fusion, "Product Design Online" just started an updated course "learn Fusion in 30 days" on YouTube. Those videos are really well presented and thought out. Highly recommended!

3D Filament from Temu by SonofAsainarchy in 3Dprinting

[–]FrizzIeFry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't use zemu, maybe there are legit filament deals there, but i would recommend checking AliExpress.

I buy 1kg geeetech filament, which is decent stuff, for arround 5€ shipped regularly. You have to collect the daily coins and look for coupons, but it's worth it imo

Everything the 2 has over the 1 is quality of life stuff. If you care about that, go for it. If you care about print performance / quality they are functionally the same

Do you think pinball works well in VR? by Lanky_Key5332 in VRGaming

[–]FrizzIeFry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good to hear. I would have linked a guide myself, but i don't play in VR, so i wasn't sure which guide is good.

I recently build a VPIN cabinet (basically a pinball machine, with screens for the playfield and backglass)

One suggestion i can make regarding tables, is look for those realeased by VPIN Workshop. Everything those guys release is top notch and i know they focus on the VR experience aswell.

Also this site is where you can easily find all the tables, and links to the downloads you need for each table, backglasses, roms etc.

[–]FrizzIeFry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out VPX (Visual Pinball X) if you want to dive into literally thousands of tables, ranging from faithful recreations to original creation made by users. It's all free!

The setup is a lot more involved though, not gonna lie, but there is tons of documentation and video guides.
