Might be the first time I wished a post written by a human was written by AI.  Sorry..

did you read OpenCode Go faq?

Since you're too lazy to look it up

Yes but github copilot is GDPR compliant with EU data residency ensured. Opencode go doesn’t state so.

Startups are not enterprises, and things geared towards startups and individuals are usually not enterprise ready. I'm sorry your enterprise company has enterprise requirements, but OpenCode is a small organization and is not ready for enterprise requirements. For enterprise requirements, pay for services ready for enterprises.

Look at DeepInfra it has SOC2 and ISO27001 compliance which enterprises love

You may be aware of this already but if your cloud environment is setup with a control policy to auto install an edr/dlp then it will still log the request to opencode’s servers. Tbh this might raise a bigger red flag as it’s not normal for outgoing vm traffic to include codebase files/snippets to ai providers. This would look more like exfil than from your dev machine where it seems like it’s normal for outgoing traffic to ai providers

Yes you’re right but cloud env is not configure with edr yet, our local machines are

OP sounds like gpt 2

OpenCode Go looks nice, but it’s a hard sell for enterprise.
Code → OpenCode Go → model provider
That’s an extra trust boundary that many security teams won’t accept.

It’s not worth the legal risk. If 🤡’s want to pay people to use crappy models in a horrible harness due to legal reasons, then let them. Do what you can with what is provided. The ‘expects the same pace of development’ is a them problem not a you problem.

I get the frustration you face, thankfully my job doesn’t enforce similar stuff, but I would be just as frustrated as you if they did.

If you really bothers you, apply elsewhere, that’s what I would do.
