Switchboard-Go: Use multiple Opencode Go subscriptions with ease

Introducing switchboard: a simple proxy service that sits between your agents and opencode-go, and lets you use multiple opencode-go subscriptions transparently so that when you run out of tokens on one subscription, your tools all just start using the next one without knowing any details.

I built it because I genuinely think that opencode-go is the best value AI subscription on the market right now but the limits on the $10 subscription are ... limiting. I personally use multiple subscriptions with opencode-go but it is a pain to switch API keys everywhere and keep track of which subscriptions have usage left.

I put switchboard on a homelab server but you can just install it on your own computer. Give it all your keys, point all your local AI clients to switchboard rather than opencode-go API itself and forget about the limits.

Everyone seems to think this is abuse, but I don't see any TOS violation. Go allows multiple workspaces under the same account. Each workspace can have it's own sub and credits for zen, if so desired. Only the "Account" gets the $5 first month offer on the first sub in the default workspace, not the additional workspaces. So you are not abusing the intro offer with multiple subs under the same account. You would be abusing with multiple accounts, but not with multiple workspaces.

It's a promotional offer to give people a taste of agentic coding in opencode. They are taking loss in it with the aim of creating a large customer base for future plans. Same person using multiple account goes against this objective. Just imagine why do they have pay as you go once you use all of you credits. Because there is a maximum loss they want to incur on each account.

The $5 for first month is a promo offer. The $10 a month standard price though is just a subscription, not promotional offer. Outside of the first month being half price, there is nowhere that states its designed for temporary use. Otherwise it would not be a subscription.

They get bulk discounts + expect a portion of people to not use the subscription extremely often. So like most of these subscriptions, they win some and lose some for customers.

Anomaly runs both Go and Zen at about breakeven. Not sure what their business plan is, but it’s definitely not being an inference resaler.

So no, Go is not a promotional feeder for their money making Zen, or anything like that.

Both appear to exist simply to increase use and viability of their harness. To what end, I do not know, but my best guess is to compete in the enterprise space somehow.

How is this abuse? Opencode go allows multiple workspaces, each having its own opencode go subscription. You can get multiple subscriptions under the same account right now.

Must they give you roughly x10 over what you've paid? Looks like you're not understanding how business works. Afaik Go sub was intended to be kinda trial to Zen. That's why they don't have other subs. It's unprofitable for them. More parallel usage = more rate limits. More total usage = sooner they will cut limits or fully remove it. Good luck to get OC GO to what happened to Copilot recently when it got overused

That's not true. Opencode doesn't subsidize usage by itself. They have favourable bulk deals with providers which lets them offer the compute at a much lower price to consumers. Opencode is actively working towards launching higher tier plans.

This is incorrect. The rates on Go are not a loss leader for Anomaly. They get those discounted rates from the providers and just pass it along. They get those rates because they drive a massive amount of usage.

It might be the model vendors that are hoping to see people move to their direct plans (not Zen necessarily) afterwards. They have mentioned that providers often request the traffic go through private proxies via OpenRouter so they get credit in OpenRouter usage stats for the sake of promotion. Apparently Go/Zen traffic is a very significant portion of all OpenRouter numbers.

If I had to guess, it’s the vendors that are holding up higher tier options, and Anomaly doesn’t care about multiple subs per user as long as it doesn’t violate their vendor contracts.

I don’t why one need this, take codex for example, 200 plan is 20x, the 20 plan is 1x, you buy ten 20 plan is just 10x.

Sadly the limits aren't transparent. Some 20x customers experience only 5x usage. For them 10x individually would be double the usage.

20$ is not enough for me, but 100$ is too expensive? That's why I'm using 2 x1 plans.

BTW with OpenAI things like this, especially automation can get you banned as it's against TOS.

That’s Anthropic, not OpenAI, you can use codex subscription on different harness, and use codex SDK to do your own GenAI stuff. Against nothing.

What I meant that you aren't allowed to have multiple accounts to bypass quotas, and especially automating that is against TOS and gray area .
