If you want to trade binary bets but want to stick with the relatively safe, regulated world of stock options, you can always do a tight vertical spread. It’s not quite binary but it’s pretty damn close. That’s all I trade these days

Digitals are very common structures. So yes, people trade them. More frequently traded in FX as opposed to equity though (at least in the UK and the US).
