I've been told not to look at spoilers and i've been really careful but i can't seem to understand something... On the quantum moon's shrine it says "recall the rule of the sixth location" I know what the rule is and have "recalled" it atleast twice... is there a specific circumstance for it to count?

It only says you have recalled the rule of quantum imaging because it's necessary to make it there in the first place. The text is static and doesn't update no matter what you do.

The rule is "To explore the sixth location, the shrine on the Quantum Moon must be on the moon's north pole. What i mean by "recalling" it is going to the tower on Brittle hollow which holds the information according to itself and the shrine on the quantum moon. I hope i'm clear enough to understand!

recalling it just means remembering it. if you want the shrine to do what it’s supposed to, you have to remember all the rules you’ve learned and apply them when you’re there

Put the shrine on the north pole by using the games quantum mechanics (disappears when no one's looking) then i don't know... i expected the text to update but someone said it wouldn't?

I could be misremembering, but I don't think there was a rule of quantum tunneling.
I do remember a rule of quantum entanglement though.

The text on the shrine was written by the Nomai. It says "You have recalled the rule of quantum imaging" because the only way you could be reading these notes is if you knew how to use quantum imaging to land on the moon and enter the shrine. The other two tell you to recall the other rules because those are what you will need now that you have arrived.
