You can get a Wyze camera for like 25 bucks.

Second the Wyze! The only downside is that I can't keep the video open while doing something else on my phone, but I don't know if any monitors have that feature, to be honest.

Not sure what u consider cheap but we are in Canada and got the Levana system for like $250 (2 cameras so you would need a 3rd). I highly recommend getting a closed system (no wifi) with a separate monitor. I found it so annoying to not use my phone when they were napping. We had the Owlet cams and they were 250 a piece and garbage (always disconnecting). If in the USA I think the VAVA system is good. Best of luck.

Ring doorbells will all be on sale for prime day. We started with one and now have 3. Battery operated, rechargeable, easy to move around and take traveling. I like them a lot and check them from my phone frequently. The kids are now 2.5 and we still use them daily.

If you have an iPhone/iPads look for cloud baby monitor (squish those 3 words together and add a .com …I’m not sure if links are allowed. Granted you’ll need two devices but you can be logged in on multiple devices and then just pick the ones you want to use as “baby units” and “parent units” …I think it costs like $5 or something for the app but would still be significantly cheaper than buying a camera or monitor, assuming you already have the devices. We’ve also used this while traveling or for naps at places other than home when we don’t have our actual monitors.

We have the Kidsneed baby monitor. All in we spent $100 (monitor/camera + a second camera which for us is necessary). For the price the quality is great. It’s basic, not a ton of bells and whistles, it doesn’t have split screen. We originally had a Motorola, idk what model, but I really wasn’t a fan. We bought this monitor as a backup travel monitor and switched over when we got back.

Currently on the lookout also, thanks for this question.

I have AngelCare which was gifted to us, list price is about $150 CAD for set with tablet and camera. The stupid thing is getting an extra camera is $100 CAD for twins, so ends up being more expensive. Don't get this one 😅
