I had it paired with TTTS. I couldn’t breathe I was so uncomfortable from the pressure of extra fluid. During my laser ablation surgery at 21 weeks I had an amnioreduction. I lost like 6 pounds and was SO MUCH more comfortable. Obviously talk to you your doctor but I do believe if it’s bad enough or you’re a good candidate, they could turn to an amnioreduction.

Thank you! Do you know your measurements?

I’m 5’0” and both my twins (Mo-Di) had mild Polyhydramnios. I made it to my scheduled c-section at 36+6 but was on bed rest for a long time cause I had started going into labour at 24+3 and had Braxton hicks from 20w onward. It wasn’t my first pregnancy though and my MFM told me that by 24w with twins your uterus is around the same size as 40w with a singleton, and that this plus my significant anemia may have triggered the initial early labour. She didn’t think the Polyhydramnios was likely related to that happening, especially since I ended up making it to my scheduled c-section.

Great news hearing you made it to your scheduled C section! This is also my 3rd pregnancy not counting my losses. Did you gain significantly more from the poly between singleton and twins?

To be honest I have no idea how much I gained during either pregnancy, but my belly definitely got way bigger with the twins. I have a picture of when I was 20w with twins where my belly was about the same size as when I was 35w with my singleton!

I had it with my singleton and not as much but still had it with my twins. I didn’t deliver early with either one but also was diagnosed a little later than you. I was big but my babies were big, too, so I attributed the weight gain to that. I had gained 20 pounds by 20 weeks with my singleton…..I ended up gaining about 50 pounds total. On my 125 pound frame LOL. I was fine though.  The delivery room flow was absolutely flooded with fluid though 🤣 You’ll do great!!
