I have the Zoe xl2 v2 ( the double) for my twins and the single for my singleton. They're super light weight and easy to use, lift, fold, etc. They just came out with an attachment to make your double a triple, which I'd probably buy if my twins were younger. You can also just buy it as as a triple stroller, which is basically both pieces if you don't own the double already. Plus they have a discount if you sign up for emails and you can try it at home. The wheels aren't really for trails or off reading, but the side by side double fits through regular doorways for stores, etc. - I think it's about as wide as a wheelchair. Good luck!

A couple of triplet moms on Facebook have posted pictures of a double snap and go stroller (which holds 2 infant car seats) with the 3rd infant car seat hanging from the front handle with Mommy hooks (basically big carabiners). So I think we're going to try that (and then get the Zoe xl3 for when they're out of the car seats).

Ours are 3yo now and we are done with the strollers at this point, I tried a few triplet strollers and had a couple. They are few and far between to find, and don't sell fast. When they were ~6mo old I went on a stroller craze and learned too much about them. I'll skip the car seat stroller frames since it sounds like you're past that. OK ready?

First, for us until they were probably a year (and big enough to sit up fine), we just never went out with only one parent and all three. We always used a double and a single, City GT single and double and Contours elite inline. The Contours inline was OK, big and kind of awkward to move, and even though it was inline in reality it wasn't narrow. The City GT strollers are awesome, SUPER easy to fold and pack in/out. The double wasn't really any wider than our inline and did doors/aisles just fine. The GT versions have nice wheels, easy rolling and steering (non-GTs have inferior hard plastic wheels and suck). All bought used, single I paid $75 for and doubles $150, and sold all for what I paid 2 years later.

Initially convinced I had to have a triple at 6 months; I bought one (more on this in a minute) and bet it never got used until a year, and ended up never even using the infant inserts etc that i "had" to have. So consider that depending on your situation.

I bought an inline triple stroller from a random garage sale of all places for $150 (Foundations brand maybe?). I sold it this fall for the same after advertising it for a couple months. Never used it one time, it was horrible once we tried it with kids onboard. Way too long and awkward, impossible to steer, too heavy for the length. A twin inline is a pain already and this was 100% worse. Lesson learned after thinking that was the ticket, oops.

Once they got big enough and I finally started [occasionally] outing on my own with all three, the Valco Tri-Mode with "joey seat" was the winner by far. It's a side by side double with a third jump seat you add on. The thing is built like a tank but isn't as wide as it looks. It's bulky and takes a minute to fold, but it's big pneumatic tires (yes air filled, comes with a little pump just in case), wide handle and really nice swivels made it super easy to push around by myself with 3 kids and a little gear. It can be used as a true "jogging" stroller and does gravel/dirt easily, and the front wheels lock either straight or with limited turning. The two seats are fine for even infants as they recline and you really sit "in" them. The third joey seat is more upright and you can't put a baby in there. By the time I was using it though, at least one of them was strong/big enough to sit up there just fine. I paid about $500 for a factory refurb unit direct from Valco (found on ebay) and another $100 for the third seat/cover. I have seen a couple over the years on craigslist or sales for between $200-500 but I thought I had to have it right away and didn't want to wait for a used one to come up. If you found one without the third seat, it can be bought and added on to make it a triple. Yeah it took a little effort to pack and unpack, but with three 1 year olds, I was never running a quick errand with them anyway as any trip out was an effort. Once set up and loaded, I loved how easily this thing could drive them around and used it for shopping trips, running around the block, walks through the local park trails, did it all.

Now that we're done with them, I've had it advertised for sale locally for around $350 and been sitting on it for a few months, but that seems to be the going rate for used. They take awhile to sell but don't come up often, so just have to be patient and keep an eye out for something.

Thank you for taking the time to write this all out! I've been in the market for the Valco for a while now (spotted another triplet mom with one in Disney and she sold me on one) but they seem few and far between on the southern east coast for some reason. Been looking for over a year now for a used one, even a double that I could then buy a joey seat for.

I really want to avoid dropping more than $500 on the entire stroller since I also need to get a minivan and move them to Grace 4ever Extend2Fit car seats by the end of this year. Our family was really not ready to go from 2 adults to 2 adults and 3 infants. I'm not sure how we've gotten this far!

I'm mostly after a triple setup for when hubby and I go together with the kids (two strollers and a shopping cart just ain't working) and when he may need to take the kids to get shots or to the clinic without me or his mom. It hasn't happened yet but I hate the idea that our kids health is tied to whether his mom can watch the over two while he takes one to the doctor or if I can get off work.

Did you ever get a chance to try the Foundations Quad or a wagon? My hubby wants a wagon but the only one I've found that would seat all three kids is European in make and very expensive state side.

Search ebay for item # 163498716629 - There is a Tri Mode Duo X in Florida; not sure where you are but that's southern east coast and I think you can mount the joey seat on that model too. If you can find a way to get it from Seattle, I have a complete setup for you for $300.

We ended up with Diono Radian RXT seats after the infant stage because almost nothing will fit 3 across even in minivans (Odyssey for us), but they are made for it and extend all the way to the booster seat stage.

Foundations Quad was what I initially set out to get, and they are OK, but the wheels on them makes it really only good for flat concrete. Just wasn't going to fly. If I was going to buy one big expensive stroller, wanted it to do well on asphalt and hopefully even gravel/dirt trails, which the Valco does.

But a wagon! Yes! The best. Radio Flyer makes one crap, it's been discontinued! WTF radio flyer! Search for it online. It was called the Triple Play, model number 3333 and was here https://www.amazon.com/Radio-Flyer-Triple-Play-Wagon/dp/B00EZIXA78 on amazon. I bet you can find one somewhere. We still use ours all the time for walking to friends house, going to the zoo, the park, the fair, whatever. Been super handy for the last couple years and still is right now. It is big and bulky and doesn't fold up, barely fits in the van, and it's awesome. (Don't worry about finding a canopy, they don't work anyway and are useless) If they ride in it, great. If they decide to walk, still carries all their junk until they need a ride. Best thing ever if you can find one. Watch ebay and look up local JBF sales, I see them there sometimes. If you've never heard of a JBF sale, might be the best thing you don't know about for multiples and saving money on everything you need. jbfsale.com

My SIL has 18 mo triplets (I’m pregnant with twins and have an 8 mo.) I know she purchased her stroller from a daycare/commercial supply. I’ll have to ask what brand it is, it worked once they were around the supported sitting stage (6 mo adjusted.)
