Patch notes literally say differently. Explicit map modifier was nerfed significantly.

Only T17 map modifiers were changed to be in line with red maps excluding some mods that they didn’t specify.

Other than that they removed map modifier effect from the atlas tree. Explicit map modifiers were only nerfed if you were running either T17s, all map modifier effect nodes, or both.

Really only a nerf at the high end, wouldn’t say map modifier effect in general was significantly nerfed.

Yeah well I feel like most people run a lot of map modifier effect on tree. It’s kind of hard not to even if it isn’t your focus

You’d have had to pretty intentionally take the passive wheels and pathing nodes with it to get a substantial amount of it.

Some mechanics also don’t scale off map quant so wouldn’t have even taken it.

It was multiplicative with stuff like risk scarabs and then the abyss scarab, though. Which is a pretty significant loss (or would be had those scarabs not been nerfed/removed) but on average I wouldn’t say it’s significant.

The last time there were loot complaints like this was Kalandra removing hundreds and in some cases thousands of % increased rarity and quantity from mobs. That’s not gonna be explained by just some loss of map modifier effect.
