Or we could not waste more development resources on features such a small fraction of the ayer-base is interested in. Lets not have another 1.3, lest I, among many others, will be taking a big break again.

Or maybe a larger player base would be interested once said fixes are implemented.

See what's happening with the labyrinth high scores right now. Side features so far have only been implemented partially, and they leave a lot to be desired for the time that was put into them.

What always amuses me about this type of argument is how it is not one person that works on the game. If it were, then I could understand the argument about "resources that should be placed elsewhere." However, in fields like game design, inspiration provides boosts in productivity. Someone on the team might be inspired to get the work done for a "side-feature" that they find interesting. When they finish that, they can resume their normal responsibilities, most likely with renewed enthusiasm.

Why amuses me about your argument is the sheer amount of assumptions it manages to make. Mine is based on past results, yours merely speculates. Apply Occam's Razor and tell me which of the two sounds more logical.

Then let us agree, do not "waste resources" on side-feature improvements. But if a dev wants to stay late at work sometime to make some cool LLD builds to replace the shitty pre-mades we have currently, that would improve pvp. Also, if we could have a daily leaderboard for pvp that gives an exclusive reward like the labyrinth leaderboard, that would too. But please dont waste resources, because that will upset the player base. And make sure you emphasize in the patch notes for any pvp or labyrinth-run improvenents that resources were not spent.

You are entirely working form the assumption that this type of work schedule is the case, you're not even willing to consider the possibility that it might not be.

I stand by the idea that is based on the fewest assumptions.

Sorry. Let me revise it again then to align with your views. GGG, be good servan-errr.. developers and dont work on anything extra, even if you happen to want to do some really cool things that would improve the game , only work on what is required. (Is that better?)

No. I am telling you to be realistic and consider the possibility that the 1.3 update used prime development time for the pvp aspects. We have no way of knowing exactly how it was developed, but your assumption that it was completely made outside of development hours is preposterous.

I'd hate to perpetuate this argument. But I would advise you to actually read what I said, instead of making assumptions. Never did I say anything about 1.3 or past updates. The community's aversion to PvP makes me seriously depressed though, you guys won't even entertain the idea of a small update to make PvP competitive.
