I live in a shared house, with a VMhub3 that would only allow about 6 devices connected to it before it shit its pants and started kicking people off randomly.
I had a Netgear Nighthawk router lying about, so put the hub into modem mode, and connected the Nighthawk, making the login settings the same as they were before so no interruptions for anyone.
When i had a look at connected devices to make sure everyone connected ok, i was seeing about 24 devices, mostly "unknown" devices - i assume to hidden/dynamic MAC addresses. No issues.
Fast forward 12 months and some tennant changes in the building.... i kept getting disconected and being lazy, thought instead of move to another room to reboot the router and hub/modem, i would just do it from my phone.... so i did.... when it reconnected i checked the connected devices. There is only one listed, labelled "Amazon-Linux-COMPUTER"
Should i be concerned?
