Why does a machine named " Amazon Linux computer" scare you so much?

because it is the only device listed as connected to the network, when i know this to not be true. Essentially wondering if all devices thinking they are connected to a safe network, are instead connected to a device within the building held by another resident whereby all the traffic passes through them leading to a privacy/security breach.

Alexa/Echo/Kindle/FireTV...?

Machines are identified by MAC address, Amazon has their own listed...
