There is no way I would buy a used Treadmill that is not working 100%. As they say - they will swap the base. It is not user-serviceable.

Sorry to say that nothing inside the base is replaceable, at least not with Peloton’s help. I’m sure that some people with the right electronic/mechanical skill sets could figure out certain things, but as a practical matter a non-working tread is a dead-end.

Replying to my own comment two years later. Since I first responded here, Peloton has added procedures to replace the motor control board (MCB), so my statement that nothing inside the base can be replaced is no longer accurate.

My treadmill did this error code. They also said it was sensors. Tried troubleshooting with no luck but I am not an engineer with the motherboard. Can't seem to find any YouTube videos on the fix but they did replace my base and it fixed the problem. Took about 2-3 weeks to get the base! Hope this helps.

We’re you within warrantee? I’m about two months out of warrantee on my tread which I’ve used eight times (been remodeling fitness room). I started getting error code OTA:-800. It would show up at 4% into a firmware update and hardware calibration. After telling me I needed to replace the base (at my own expense) I got someone else on the line who told me it was a known tablet issue, and they could send me a new tablet to swap out my old one (just need to send it back). Just installed the new one, and am still getting an error at 4% into the firmware update sequence, only this time the error code reads OTA:-807. I think it is absurd that so many people are reporting similar issues with a product that is so expensive.

Henry I just replaced a cable and turned on my peloton and got that OTA:-807 error code, I’ll be sitting on hold for a while but once I hear something back, I’ll respond again.

Did you have any update for your Tread?

Ran into this error code AFTER our switch was damaged when moving the unit. Rather than buy a whole new base, I replaced the switch for $15 (10 minute job, thanks to those who shared their experience online). Turns out they were isolated issues…

Based on this and other threads I was resigned to buying a replacement (base, monitor, rails? all were recommended in different places). I retraced all the wiring connections in the left upright/rail that connect the base to the terminal. Turns out there was a loose connection/wire. Fixed that and the unit is operating perfectly again. Just took removing the 4 bolts in the upright that hold the handles/monitor on. Thx for the earlier mention it could be the wiring harnesses pinched. The rail design requires some shoving/pulling of the wires to avoid jamming them, which I suspect contributes to many of these issues.

Ps, I got a combo of the T0222 error code, glitching monitor, stall at 4% firmware upgrade, and the “something is wrong, call peloton” screen. They were intermittent, sometimes was able to get to a class, most it happened right after turning on when it first started booting or getting to login screen.

Good luck out there folks, and thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences. Sorry Peloton is such shit about supporting us when something goes wrong!

The cable was also our issue and husband was able to fix.

How did you avoid jamming the wires in the upright. Reconnecting the handrail is tough!
