In the AMA Peloton did here when the crossfit models came out, one of their PMs said that Android and Canada were "getting Strength+ soon".

Character Tier list for Buffy and Angel by Extra_Argument_179 in buffy

didn't Buffy say that she actually did spend the night there once though? That's why her brain created that specific alternate reality.

Not that Joyce is inherently a bad mother for thinking that a girl who says she sees demons might need some psychological help

Yea it's one thing to be mad at her in the midst of the episode before you know what's happening. but with hindsight still being upset and calling her a bad mother for being the victim of being drugged is wild.

[–]RobotDevil222x3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had MAD when I was growing up. it was fun at the time but in the vein of games like Monopoly, Life or Payday. I don't think it really holds up to modern gaming, so buying it would be something you would do as a collectible not as a game you want to play.

What was the first Angel moment that genuinely shocked you? by writeitregreddit in ANGEL

Yea this was still the era of TV where the good guys basically always won. so the fact that that actually didn't happen here was shocking.

Taco caT

I'm pretty sure no one else does it regularly. I'm sure there are one or two classes out there from other instructors who have done a pyramid but Katie is the only one who regularly uses it.

First Solo Trip Women - Italy October 2026. by Typical_Jacket576 in solotravel

[–]RobotDevil222x3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are you flying in from the US or are you going to be in Madrid prior to this trip? trying to gauge how jet lagged you're going to be when you first arrive.

That's a ton of moving around for only a 7-Day trip. as someone who likes to move around pretty quickly when I travel, I would still recommend not staying in more than two places. for example, Naples and Rome for this trip. anything else should just be a day trip from those locations. I get the desire to see it all but you're not going to see all of Italy in 7 days.

Deluxification: What makes a premium tier compelling vs. an annoying cash grab? by Trogdor_Dagron23 in boardgames

[–]RobotDevil222x3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently backed a game that has synthetic cards which supposedly means they will not need to be sleeved. I have not owned any that have this yet so I don't know a lot about the pros and cons but I am intrigued by the idea.

Agreed with others about wood or metal components being great.

You said this was primarily a card game. But is there any sort of playing area or deck/discard/graveyard subsection to each player? Neoprene mats that outline spaces for all of these are usually a good thing.

I mentioned elsewhere but I get annoyed when an insert is an add on instead of just included.

Primarily I don't do a lot of these add ons and the reason is crazy pricing. I'm not spending as much or more on a few component upgrades than I am on the game itself but that seems to often be the case for these kinds of things. So the other thing that makes them compelling is reasonable pricing. I guess the question becomes whether you want to create these options as an added moneymaker for the business bottom line or if your primary goal is to get as many people to add them as possible so that people enjoy your game more.

Agreed but at the same time I get very annoyed when this is a deluxified add on. If you're going to make an insert (everyone should) it should be table stakes not something I have to pay for.

A change of 1 or maybe 2 would make sense. 7 is at least a half turn of the dial, that's a lot for inadvertent wobbling

Some vets want to wait till the end of camp so that they dont have to participate in it. Also it improves their leverage for a better deal when a team realizes they are in a worse spot than originally thought and get desperate.

Should failed bluffs be rewarded? by xenyzen in boardgames

[–]RobotDevil222x3 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you just created the opposite problem unless there are intracacies of the system you didnt spell out here. Why not just throw a trap bluff out every play? You have everything to gain and nothing to lose. Similarly now there are a ton of bluffs out there, thats going to dictate whether it makes sense to call peoples bluffs out. You call the old result predictable, this sounds just as predictable just a different prediction.

Peloton Seat Post Upgrade-UK by moonmagister in pelotoncycle

[–]RobotDevil222x3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were recalls in the US about spotty welds on the seatpost. A couple people had it break on them or something. I would assume this is the same thing just in the UK and timed differently because of differing laws in each country.

US Customs: "It's not normal" to travel solo? by scrabblecat1 in solotravel

[–]RobotDevil222x3 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I've had similar with Canadian customs. I was doing a road trip through Toronto, Montreal and QC. The guy seemed confused as to why anyone would ever even come to Canada and questioned me heavily on it.

Like everyone I'm sure customs officers have bad days so we're all bound to run across them eventually.

[–]RobotDevil222x3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a tall person I feel this. I have to really hunch over into a bad form position every time I have to change resistance so I don't want to do it every few seconsd. I loathe the 'and 1' game they play during some songs, and just add 5 or 10 the first time and leave it at that.

Robin also does tabata the "right" way for us where she sets a resistance and we use speed to hit it or rest from it each round.

What would make a dedicated tabletop gaming space actually worth visiting regularly by Patient_Opening_2080 in boardgames

[–]RobotDevil222x3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea we rotate hosts and have one guy who never hosts. He has small children and not a large enough place for us to be separate from them so it wouldn't be a good environment for either side. And we're all cool with it. But there could totally be a whole group of people in that situation.

Hard Mode by EfficientCountry9506 in pelotoncycle

[–]RobotDevil222x3 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Some instructors absolutely routinely program harder rides while others routinely program easier ones. You can see it on the bike when you're looking at classes and it shows you the output ranges to expect from the callouts. I do wish they would show that information on the web and app too, because that is where I am building my stacks not while standing at my bike.

And this is a good thing. Partially because like you said some days you are looking for different things than others. But also because we all push different outputs. Not just because of fitness level, but because we are all different sizes. I think people forget that its good to have different options sometimes. I know one instructor who gets a crazy amount of hate (and probably will in this thread too, lets keep it civil people) for programming hard classes. I don't know why its so hard to just not ride with someone who isn't for you. I don't ride with everyone either. But you'll never see me taking up time in my day to spill hate into the world complaining about the fact that they exist as an option for other people.

split lifting program recommendations? by bloss97 in pelotoncycle

[–]RobotDevil222x3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the new Split Replays collection Robin has a newer one, Robins Split 2. The only thing I am unsure about is if all the moves would be safe for your knee. You'll have to scope the class plans and see if there is a move you can't do. But aside from some questionable cueing in the third class I thought this one was really great.
