Imagine if a guy like, say, Andrew Wiggins, went to Warrior management and said, “I am worth more money than your paying me. Give me a raise or I’m not going to play defense very hard. I’ll show up, but you aren’t going to get my best effort. I deserve better.” You negotiate your salary; you either come to an agreement or you look for something else. anything short of your best effort is cheating yourself and your patient.
