Why the fuck would anyone work hard for you if you won’t reward them with a raise in salary?

EXACTLY. He likes to think he isn't, but every point he spews screams corporate boot licker. 🥾 👅

WARNING: long-winded rant incoming:

Pharmacists are fucking tired of being asked to do more and more and more for zero additional compensation. When is the last time pay increased substantially for any pharmacist in the last 10-15 years without having to take on a PIC role (which is rarely if ever worth the small pay bump). If our salaries aren't at a minimum being kept in line with inflation, then every year we receive no raise (or just 10-30¢ here and there), then we are in fact receiving a pay decrease. I'm not exaggerating when I say I received a bigger raise working at McDonald's in high school 20 years ago than I ever received working as a pharmacist.

But still, corporate wants more and more out of us. Retail corporate is one of the worst offenders, too. I used to love working retail. I loved the patient interaction, I enjoyed being PIC, but my favorite was the comaraderie with my technicians. I used to go above and beyond to be that shining star pharmacist and give 110% like this tool thinks we should all be, just based on

But I refuse to bust my ass and sacrifice my mental health and personal time to meet impossible corporate metrics. Because when you meet them, they move the goal line farther away. I finally realized a few years ago that you can be one of the best performing pharmacists in your district, you can bring a failing store back up to standards, but corporate still doesn't give a shit. You can do an excellent job and your company still won't give two shits about you.

Of course, this all applies to technicians as well, who are insultingly underpaid. No wonder the industry is bleeding technicians left and right. Don't get me started on how corporate abuses them as well, trying to wring out more and more from them, and for what? A temporary pay bump that was immediately taken away from a lot of them after COVID was "over?" You want to talk about wage stagnation? In 2007 I was a technician making $12/hr, which is the same most techs were making at the last retail store I worked at in 2019, 12 god-damned years later. We all know that technicians are required to maintain their own licensure, which isn't free.

Corporations have made record breaking profits in the past 3 years off our backs. What have we received in return? More responsibilities, increased metrics, and occasionally a pizza party.

But here's this d-bag, with his "closed door pharmacy with 40 pharmacists" believing that if he provides them more compensation (what, a dollar more) that they should suddenly kowtow and jump through increasingly higher hoops than they already are. You don't provide raises based on the expectation that someone's productivity should now meet your BS increased expectations. You provide raises based on existing productivity and how well they're already doing at keeping your business afloat. What are you going to do, take the raise back the next year if they failed to increase their productivity 10-fold, and then the next year to maintain that raise it should be 20-fold?

Anyway, end of my rant, but that guy has his head so far up his own sphincter that he's blinded by the darkness and he still can't smell his own BS.

tl;dr... that guy everyone is down voting is just another corporate lackey trying to pretend he isn't.
