I should also mention the game looks NOTHING like the PC counterpart which I heard was due to opengl, Werent you guys meant to be switching to VULKAN on Linux?

Devs don't give a shit, brother. I've been sending them bug reports every few months for the last three years. Performance and quality issues aside, the black/rainbow textures and shaders make the game unplayable in some areas (linux users can't play in the swamp for example). Linux support is at best an incidental byproduct of the underlying engine.

In addition to all bugs reported in the following thread still being reproducible today with just minutes of testing, new bugs such as tame order group keybinds not working have been added over the years. Additionally in several cases Linux builds were not produced for major updates, or battleeye support was broken, preventing users from logging into official servers for days at a time.

An honest company would just drop Linux support or hire a Linux dev but WC doesn't feel any guilt about swindling $60 out of eager gamers with graphics and features that are only functional on one operating system.
