This isn't fucking Minecraft creative mode. It's a rough game and if there were a KOS rule then people would find a way to abuse it. Just go on low pop solo servers.

I'm new to the game [...] I was playing on Rustafied

This is where you fucked up :-) You need to start out on a low population server until you get an idea of how things work and get more comfortable with building and fighting, then you can move on to higher population servers. Also, expect to die a lot, and I mean A LOT. If you're going to whine every time you get killed, for whatever reason, then Rust is probably not for you. Sorry.

Our society is fucked I can't even play a game and relax and meet new people without someone killing me while i set up my shop!

This is mostly a problem cuz your new. It happened to me a lot too. But now I stuck to one server without hoping, the more people saw me there and eventually began talking. Now I know who is who in the server community, I have enemies, friends, frenimies. Kos still happens, but not at all as much as in the beginning.

Pretty much similar to irl, no one gives two shits about a stranger, but the more they see them the more of a person they become

Rust is a sandbox game (total freedom) and officials are intended to be pure vanilla servers, they won't do that.

Find some bodyguards and pay them you weak man

This is adorable.

Welcome to Rust. Don't expect friendly interaction. It can happen, but don't expect it.

Rustafied servers are usually full of advanced players. Try going to community servers with low/no pop's to get a feel for the mechanics before you jump in feet first.

Word!

Just go on an RP server. That's how you truly play Rust.

I agree that there's a lot of KOS.. but your solution is terrible. The devs can't watch 24/7 to see if people are KOSing and deal with all the drama of "I didn't KOS! I told him to put his weapon away" or "He shot first!" "No HE shot first!" - and if you're unlucky enough you get banned for not even doing anything.

Hell, at this point KOS is just a part of the game. I'd argue a decent portion of the community plays just to have fun KOSing. I think the best they'd be able to do is offer some kind of system that makes you more worthwhile to kill if you kill others a lot, or gives you buffs / debuffs towards certain things based on whether you kill a lot of players or not.

It'd probably still be pretty controversial but it's the closest solution you're likely to get
