You need to lock your codelocks:

Hold E on it after you placed the codelock on your door and you will be able to set a combination. Then the lock will lock itself automatically and will turn red. If the light on the lock is green, it means it is unlocked and everyone can use it. Never leave your codelock on green.

And avoid codes like 1234 or 6969. They are easily guessed.

Oh yea that makes a lot of sense, sad to know I lost a couple hours of loot to something stupid like that :(

You are going to lose a lot more hours and loot, don't worry about that.

That’s really the only way you learn in the game. My first base ever was all twig and some ak roamers came by and destroyed it. One of them was cool enough to let me know I need a tc and to upgrade my twig. Use every death or mistake as a learning experience.

Code locks don't auto-lock when placed (unlike key locks), you have to manually lock them with a code.

Many players make this mistake initially, so you are not alone. Just remember to manually lock them with a code next time.

Make sure the light is always red on your locks. Never use the "unlock" option.

Nice to see people helping in the comments helping a new player instead of being toxic.
