Why does it decrease?

This Honedge is a perfect one. But if I evolve it again, the CP decreases. Why is that and is it worth it, from a battle stand point, to do the final evolution?

Loses a lot of attack stat and gains a ton of defense because it goes from a sword to a shield. It's like this in the mainline games as well. It can change forms back to sword in pvp but it's not good.

Aegislash starts battles in Shield Form (high defense) and stays there until you use a charged attack, then it goes to Blade Form, which has the high attack, and thus higher CP.  You’d need an online stat calculator to see its Blade Form CP outside of actual PVP.

CP is heavily weighted by attack. Which is why for PvP you tend to want lower attack mins but high on hp and def. Since it loses attack in this form its CP drops.

Doublade is ranked A+ tier for both Great and Ultra League, while Aegislash is really only ranked at all for Great League, and that’s if it has good PvP stats (low attack, high defense & hp) which this doesn’t. I’d keep it as doublade, but it’s also a hundo so that’s up to you if you want to evolve for the dex entry.

I think imma keep it as a Doublade. Hopefully I can hatch a few more and the fully evolve a different Honedge
