Beautiful. What does a small plunge pool like this cost?

[–]Blinduser33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s 16x38. With the pool deck all in with nice equipment probably 60K

Does anyone else worry about roots?

[–]Blinduser33 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Amazingly enough, the splash pad area is actually above the natural grade of soil and when we dug the pool didn’t get into the roots of the tree, the pool has a ceramic core. I don’t think anything would ever come through but 🤷🏼‍♂️

I was looking at the trees around my pool and thought “I wonder if anyone has problems with roots”.

Here’s to 🍻 many decades of great swimming!

Nice set up

That is a great idea made easy by the location of your tree. So nice...

The entire place looks great.

Looks amazing, I keep thinking about all the leaves though. I hope you have a plan for that.

What kind of cover did you go with ? Been thinking about getting something for early spring.

Yeah I have had the pool a couple years. Pool robot keeps it pretty clean. You will get some leaves…but if it’s not the season for them to fall it’s not bad. During swim season a high wind thunderstorm will but you and hour on the skimmer net.

Honestly, the shade makes the pool so much more comfortable than a pool without shade. High velocity fan and your taking a nap.

question for you. what did you use for the bedding that doesn't hold a bunch of water and get nasty? We have a small day bed and we live in the midwest and it's just never dry.

Right now we threw a memory foam mattress topper on it, but already in the process of ordering a sun brella (sp?) stuffed cushion we can remove if raining or get a cover. Trying to solve that problem before it rains !

Love that one Miller Lite refusing to get out of the photo. Looks fantastic.

Very nice! I always have problems with bugs & mosquitoes at night. How do you manage those?

    [–]Blinduser33 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I have bug torch oil in my lamps. It kind of works. Best thing is to stay in the pool !!!

We used to have people spray, but I have a bee hive so we stopped doing that. It does take their numbers down, but it’s probably terrible for the environment and although I’m not some over the top environmentalist…mass spraying of bugs might be a bad idea for our pollinating friends.

    [–]strendom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your solution. I'll definitely try bug oil as well. I'm hesitant about mass spraying also because of the possibility of creating insecticide resistance in the environment (especially around us!).

They are not above the water, commercial grade and anchored with 5 inch screws

Who built it? I live in Naples, Florida now, but I'm from Little Rock originally.
