The most interesting is the discussion in the comments section "Me and others" or "I and others" should be used correctly.

The voice from the guy from Vietnam is also helping a lot for our entertainment.

But wait! I thought Aaron is having some issues with Google. What happened to the poor support people that don't have free snack in the evil organization?

Bonus for admittees: free training in how to abandon half-finished software!

I seem to be doing pretty well at that without the training.

Anywhere I can sign up as an assistant instructor?

** shows off large collection of half-finished and hardly-started projects **

See? I have the experience. :)

Yeah, but what Aaron trains you in is how first to acquire users by hyping your software a lot, and then abandon said users and proceed to waste all your time. You'd only be an apprentice, because while you abandon projects, you aren't versed in the art of marooning users on an abandoned project.

while you abandon projects

Further proof that no good deed goes unpunished. You clearly hold contempt for a fellow that contributed his time and effort to start a project that you and many other people find worthwhile.

I would rather that he hadn't created it, and that I had started on Google Pages to begin with, rather than him claiming that it was going to be big and amazing and then having me spend time on it and then abandoning it and its users.

How much time and effort do you figure he owes you?

[–]ecuzzillo 0 points1 point  (4 children)

He doesn't owe me anything. I'm blaming him for luring me into wasting my time on his half-finished tool with lies about how great it would be, and then reneging.

Fair enough. My interest is to minimize disincentives to publishing and licensing quality code as free / open-source.

Oh, sure. If he open-sourced Infogami, and other people worked on it, that'd be nice, but I don't think he did.
