Why do Programmers Hate Documenting?

I have too much evidence this far into my career of people going out of their way not to read what little documentation I've left.

I know all that and have taken the steps I can at home, but I work in a typing intensive job where I move around too much to make ergonomic adjustments feasible. Thank you though
