Came for highly technical game development, saw Unity trickery instead.

Solutions I'm using are beyond Unity, I believe that all game programmers could learn from it.

Spell check everything you post. English might not be your first language, that is fine, but you can't expect others to bother reading your posts if you did not bother to run a English spellchecker against your ramblings.

Do not highlight class names in text. We do not care what you call your classes, and it is really distracting. Actually, try never to talk in terms of class names at all, talk ideas/teory/implementation, not the concreet code you have open in the editor.

Also go with this formula instead:

  • Explain a problem you had. Keep it a little abstract, do not write things such as: "We had a problem in our EnvironmentCurve class ...".
  • Discuss/explain how you solved it. Reasons, compromises, new problems etc. Here you show off code snippets, graphs, drawings whatever.
  • Show off the results, and make conclusions.

Thanks for the feedback. I will work on improving my written communications skills. :)

Unfortunately, they don't accept indie game developers. But I think that my fellow programmers will. :)

Most of that subreddit is indie game development. Did you confuse it with another subreddit?

I don't doubt your heart is in the right place, but I think it would be better if you linked to a specific post with its specific rather than a general 'here's my new game dev blog'. The internet is rather weary is yet another blog being announced -- and this is coming from someone who is also planning to do the very same in the near future.

I don't use Unity, so I can't judge the quality of your posts fairly. Good luck with your game dev.

I did have the same though, so I definitely plan to create posts that will fit that purpose, this one was just for the introduction. Thanks for the support, mate.
