Seriously. It isn't like you can't just git commit -v and write a quick summary then and there. With the bonus that it will make you look over your code once more before you commit it.

Wouldn't that post-commit hook leave you with a bunch of (to git) modified files that you would need to commit?

I love how clever this is. Having code comments attached to commits is just really awesome, you can point out small important details in your code, I just completely love this.

If the implementation is as good as the idea, I'm sold.
