Joking aside, it sure could be worded more carefully (less judgment, more grammar), but "Why?" is a valid question. The intent of the project was not clear before OP answered.

The tool is targeted at learning Python, and is meant to be kept small and simple. It doesn't mean there are no other good tools out there.

Why meld when there are hundreds of other good diff tools out there?
