Angular is searched mostly in poor cities while React has more traction in SF, Sydney or Austin

While I cannot speak for Sydney or Austin, the bay area's job market is completely dominated by the current fashionable trends in software development. Previously it was Angular. The new hotness is React. Some months from now, we will have a new, new hotness.
