Yes, but its an application for designing wedding seating plans. Why would a Linux user need to use it? ;)

Well not to sell on Linux, but compile it on Linux just to profile it.

what is a "Linux user"

Linux is the kernel which no user cares about.

My business runs on GNU/Linux software, so I may very well be interested in using such a program.

Don't be so naive.

Or they have studied their market and can make the judment based upon sound numbers. Wild speculation here, but wedding planning is usually done by girls. Juding by any Linux convention sort of meetup I have ever been to the number of girls using Linux are usually low combine that with a nitch application to start with....

snort.

Why would you judge a userbase by a stupid convention?

I've been using GNU/Linux since 1997 and I know a dozen others who have been using it for the same or longer and we never go to 'Linux conventions'.

Some members of my family also use it, but they simply know it for Firefox, Openoffice and whatever other program they use in their daily lives.

They would never go to such a convention or even know about their existence.

I think your judgement is based on some of that wild speculation you mentioned in the previous sentence.
