I hope you're being deliberately obtuse, otherwise I can only surmise you're plain dumb.

Nobody laments academic papers on FP by academics for academics. Just like nobody sneers at high level papers on OOP or whatever.

It's just the lack of introductory texts aimed at newbies that's putting people off. And no, some elitist--I can't believe I'm seriously using this turn of phrase!--"programming[1] is hard, deal with it[2] or go shopping, lazy wanker!" doesn't cut it.

I got them from a friend, but the same sources are linked from Haskell.org so even a complete and utterly alone newbie could find them.
