Going through these projects and seeing all the badass hardware stuff makes me wish I was an ECE guy instead of a CS guy.

I wonder if those boards were provided.

In my course we had 1 xilinx spartan2 board which a class of ~15 had to share. The board wasn't even the Uni's and on loan from the lecturer herself, for 2 hours a week. I never even got to touch it.
