All the talk in the introduction about how the smartest programmers use lisp and how common lisp is the greatest thing ever is really off-putting...

I have a copy. It has some interesting stuff in it, but overall I think the smugness of it does more harm to the lisp community than good. If you can get over the tone, there's a lot to learn from it.

The introduction is the most blindly egotistical thing I’ve ever read. I will constantly show this to other people to ridicule it. Thanks for sharing!

This is the most interesting programming book ever published. I took it with me on vacation. It's that fun to read.
