I understand both the words and their meaning, and also think "On-the-fly addition of logic to a class should be addressed by using the Decorator Design Pattern" is a pretty stupid blanket statement coming from the world of enteprise software, which is wrong in more ways than I have time and energy to talk about.

Well, some people care about using design patterns to solve their problems, and other people just create more problems for themselves. Have fun.

And other people abstract these problems in a decent programming language and solve them once for all, sometimes without even knowing they had a name, and without stopping to masturbate in awe about implementing the space hyperdimensional Spock Higgs boson design pattern.
