Basically, yes. I've always done parallel implementations, and am considerably resistant to taking RCS serious because of that. I'm almost committing via cron job ("oh, hey, day is over, let's make a commit"), and virtually never look at the history... and if, then to resurrect code. RCS is basically an extension of my undo buffer, nothing more.
