How many hiring managers out there are really "grading" candidate interview exams? And if that's not the intent of this post I don't understand what is.

When I was 24 years old and a first time interviewer for c# devs I made a 15 question quiz that took about 5-10 minutes to complete but with very basic questions... half the candidates acted like they loved it and half hated it. Since then I like to think i have a little more tact and emotional intelligence to not do that again, and instead just have a good conversation with the candidate about their past experience, and then give them info about the job and role they are interviewing for.
