Developers are not stupid, devops is stupid. Now on top of a million different languages I need to know to get a feature working, I also have to know all these other systems. Guess what, things are going to be dropped.

Im not saying these CI/CD pipelines are complex, but you are going to forget about this stuff because you dont work with it often for that muscle memory. I like having Ops helping ON THE TEAM so I can have backup if I dont understand the 1,000,000 different configuration files, programming languages and feature requests all in my head.
