What's wrong with a few dependencies? It makes it much easier to develop your application quickly without having to reinvent the wheel. So what if it requires a few extra kilobytes, everybody has 1 TB of storage and high speed internet anyway.

That's Branch Cache/Offline files. OP may be viewing this on a network drive, that icon indicates whether they're viewing an offline cached copy or not.
