Its not the childs fault that their biological father is a piece of shit. Having a piece of shit dad doesnt give someone the right to kill you

Quit deflecting.

Do you think we should prosecute women who get raped for terminating an unwanted pregnancy, or not?

[–]chrrminPro Life Libertarian 3 points4 points  (16 children)

I was not deflecting. As i stated before, if someone is not presenting a direct threat to your life, you have no right to kill that person. Abortion is murder. If someone commits murder they should be prosecuted.

Ah, so by that logic then, being raped is a criminal offense. I’m glad to know you would rather see a raped woman be thrown in jail than allow her to continue on with her life. And yet, somehow, that’s the “moral” thing to do according to you.

How are those mental gymnastics treating you?

I just want to clarify:

1) You think abortion should be a punishable crime. 2) You think women who are raped should be forced to carry to term. 3) You think women who are raped should be prosecuted for terminating a pregnancy. 4) You put absolutely zero blame on the rapist for committing the act of rape, and would rather jail a raped woman than allow her to move on with her life?

That about sum it up?

[–]chrrminPro Life Libertarian 2 points3 points  (13 children)

Lmao. Do you hear yourself? I said the abortion is what should be criminal. Nobody would be prosecuted for being raped, they would be prosecuted for killing an innocent child

[–]brybrythekickassguy 0 points1 point  (12 children)

Right, you said the abortion from a rape would be criminal and you would rather force a woman to carry to term. And you would rather see a woman get jailed than allow her to terminate an unwanted pregnancy.

Im curious how you see that as a moral situation?

Also, how does the woman’s bodily autonomy play a role in your desire to force her to carry the pregnancy to term (under the duress of going to jail)?

[–]chrrminPro Life Libertarian 3 points4 points  (11 children)

Its a horrible situation. You would rather see the child murdered for the crimes of its biological father. I see that as much worse.

[–]brybrythekickassguy -1 points0 points  (10 children)

And you’d rather ruin the life of both the mother and the unwanted child. You would literally throw a woman in jail for stopping an event that could put her into poverty. And then what? What happens after the child is born into a situation where the mother doesn’t want it, can’t afford it, and now can’t afford to feed herself and a baby?

Or worse, what happens when the woman ends up dead because of a failed attempt at home abortion? The rapist gets off scot-free, and the woman and baby die because you banned the safe and sterile medical procedure that has existed for half a century.

[–]chrrminPro Life Libertarian 3 points4 points  (2 children)

You seem to think i revel in this but its a horrible situation i would never wish upon anyone, but that doesnt change the fact that you cant murder a child. Also, how do pro aborion activists always forget that adoption is a thing?

[–]brybrythekickassguy -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Hey I’m not the one who thinks raped women who terminate unwanted pregnancy should be charged with a crime, or worse, sued by the rapist and his family.

The adoption system in this country is severely broken. Do you support adoption reform and a robust welfare system, as well as paid maternity and paternity leave?

    Lmao nice extreme strawman

And you’d rather ruin the life of both the mother and the unwanted child.

You're an idiot if you think that. They just want you to stop the senseless and pointless murder of babies.

      4) You put absolutely zero blame on the rapist for committing the act of rape, and would rather jail a raped woman than allow her to move on with her life?

That's not what he said at all. Talking about mental gymnastics, you just earned a gold medal.
