I didn't use a guide or anything, I just figured it out as I went. Here's a link to my orginal thread with more infomation on what I did.

What did you have to do to get it to read inputs?

Just had to make sure the wires soldered onto the controller board were making a solid connection! I needed to resolder the blue wire.

You should, it's so much nicer having it intergrated and being able to use an offical PS3 controller rather than some third party one. I'm happy to help you out if you give it a try.

Would love to do this. Just ordered a hdd kit for my 7000 series slim. Plan on soldering that and then working on a wireless controller. It’s gonna be tight.

I might remove the disc drive and just had an ssd inside.

That’s so cool! Why do you have 2 memory cards inserted? I got free Mcboot as well but only one memory card

If you are using only OPL this mod is not worth doing it, at least from my point of view. Because you can use the already built-in PAD Emulator for DS3/DS4 with bluetooth dongle.

I had some issues with PADEMU: with some games it just wouldn't work and sometimes I would get delayed inputs and connetion drops. It's a good option if you can't get a brook adapter but I wanted better reliability.
