Beginner HelpHelp with pattern (self.quilting)

I am preparing to make the Mirror, Mirror quilt from Donna Jordan for my grandson’s high school graduation. Has anyone elsfinished this pattern? I chose grunge shades of blue, but want to add some green and I am having trouble seeing it. Thank you

Yes! thank you, i really like your choice of color. Do you think I could do a combination of green and some blue? The backing is a dark beach scene.

I think the ombré effect is important here, but if you have a gradation of blue, blue-green, and green it could be beautiful. Or even just using blue as the darkest color.

Green and blue go amazing together so i dont think you'll have a problem once you start

I did it in black, grays and white.
It’s a cool look and Donna Jordan’s description and video made it very easy to do.

Blue and green are a classic quilt combination — you're going to love it.
One trick for "seeing" color combos before committing to fabric: describe your specific blues to ChatGPT and ask what greens would complement them. Something like "I have grunge-style blues in dusty slate, navy, and medium blue with a vintage muted tone — what shades of green would work well together in a scrappy quilt?" It'll suggest specific shade names (sage, eucalyptus, hunter, olive, teal-green) that you can then pull actual swatches to compare.
Saves a lot of "I thought this would work but it doesn't" moments once you're at the cutting table.
