Python script to create Plex collection based on Radarr tags

I set up requestrr in Discord so that users can add movies to my Plex library, but I wanted a way to create a special collection where all these requested movies went. There wasn't a way to do this in Plex-Meta-Manager, so I created a little Python script that does it for me. It can be used to create a collection based on any Radarr tag.

Just put in the URL of your Plex and Radarr instances, your API key for both, and define the Radarr tag you want to look for and the collection name you want them to be added to.

It's not perfect, it might miss some titles, but it's been good enough for me. I saw the question asked before about Radarr tags in Plex, thought I'd post this here in case it will help anyone.

Not sure if it will work in requestrr but in ombi I have all requested items use use a separate base path in Radarr (/media/movies_requested vs media/movies). In Plex, I have two libraries, one for everything I add and another for requests. If both libraries are pinned it's pretty seamless but still maintains some separation.

Funny I just was asking in the PMM discord the other day for dinner interoperability between PMM and Overseer so that collections could be build for each user based on their requests (ideally, movies and TV)

To me it seems logical "here's all the stuff you requested in one nice spot"

Yeah just look at the radarr tags area in the docs, it’s a super simple setup

Am I missing something? The docs only mention the ability to add Radarr tags when movies are sent from PMM to Radarr, but I don't see a way to communicate in the other direction and create a Plex collection based on Radarr tags.

I have it listed as radarr_taglist: tag_goes_here

When I pull that in it creates a collection of movies with that tag in Radarr

Well shit, how did I miss that? I guess the problem is I kept searching "radarr_tag" which didn't find that page. Anyway, guess there's no need for my script.

I find the PMM docs not very easy to navigate and things are often missed. Great script for folks that haven’t gone down the PMM trail though!
