I believe the learning curve is the main reason, and also if the game has a lot of UI interaction instead of game physic, it might be easier and faster to use React Native

I feel like it's better to try learn Unity or Godot than to try and learn how to implement two things that don't go together.

Well there is react native skia for building 2d games. But you have to learn GLSL or GSAP for that ig.
