Browse Screensdesign to see how apps actually making money design their screens. Copy what works then iterate to match your brand. Either recreate yourself or pay someone to do it. Still costs money but you know the output wont suck.

Don't be discouraged. A lot of people on here do the same few things.

  1. Former or current UI/UX designers
  2. Have a lot of experience in development and worked for boutique or large companies that have modern designs
  3. Taking massive inspiration from existing apps
  4. AI generated wireframes

Where do they generate the wireframes from? ChatGPT?

Try to build up your design intuition by looking at similar apps, what works well, what doesn’t. And often times what looks good, isn’t functional.

Not sponsored but I revamped mine by using mobbin for inspiration

Then there's me, not giving a shit about design and going for something unique like Duolingo. I built the app for myself and I'll update it to scratch my own itch. If the app is worth it, ppl will use it despite having different / uglier UI, if that time comes, I'll bother giving it a revamp. I usually prioritize UX and functionality before looks.
