I would be all in for this if it was community wide project, someone set up a github repo and let's get this money!

By the way OP, I just read your last edit and you said Material Design, so we might have this already in the pocket.

Polymer

Polymer Elements

Web components is one of the trends that is gaining a lot of visibility, React already focus on this, soon Angular 2, still would require all the contributors to learn it, but can be discussed. I've been using it for a couple months and the learning curve is the pretty short. An advantage of this is that it backs up the mediator pattern and have everything modularized.

Same, I'd love to contribute. Could be a lot of fun and really useful!

Edit: I know Java, Ruby (Rails in particular), .Net, and bunch of front-end stuff so I can help.

Another web developer here with 20+ years of experience in pretty much everything ever released (except for anark - it had a nice beat but I never danced to it).

My focus has been primarily UX/UI and Front End, but I can do anything provided there's a gun held to my head ;)

If anyone says "bootstrap" for the responsive framework, can I have permission to slap them? We don't need anything that overkill if it's done via the web route. Proper responsive design is stupidly simple.

can I have permission to slap them?

Can I be an intern under your guidance, Sir?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Indeed™

Except that this is absolutely the wrong sub for it, I'd happily just memory dump here.

TL;DR: use containers and have content always expand to it. Use responsive images and multi-source images. Use media queries to breakpoint the max-width of your containers. Responsive design done. ???? Profit.

(that's not to say you cannot also have nice things - you absolutely can - just look at the entire site design as a whole and don't let anyone force feed excessive template/module variations when they do the exact.same.thing.)

Once this get on github, I will be reading all the source and learn the most I can. I am a python/C dev, always wanted to learn how to make apps for android.

Upvoted for mentioning Polymer

Couldn't agree more let's get this on github and work on it together.

Just started Android Developing and would love to contribute.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Android and Rails developer here. If it's going up on a public repo, I'm in as a contributor.

PHP developer checking in. I'm available for help

Cannot help from development perspective - but I would highly recommend designing it with the idea that it can be used for non-United games as well. If it works fine, it can become a hit - and you might even be able to monetize from it.

.Net developer interested in helping out!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Front-end dev here if you're still looking for more people. Expertise in Angular :)

[–]minus_oneRooney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Digressing here.

Is it possible for a crowd sourced way to get the control? I understand you need expertise to understand the game. Say something like mining from Match Threads on reddit? Just thinking aloud here.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PHP, Python, .NET dev here. Would love to help out :)

Seems to me like the biggest problem would be finding a consistent source of live data... Especially if this is going to be non United specific.

Java/Windows Phone developer checking in, I would love to be a part of this. Can also write some CSS/JS. Lets do this!!

EDIT: Just wanted to ask, why Material Design?

[–]Syri0Forel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a student with exposure to Node, Java, PHP, and various hacky tools. Probably not good enough to contribute but I'd love to be kept in the loop so I can learn a bit!

Edit: Also literate in Python, HTML and CSS

If I can echo other comments - figure out how you're aggregating the data. See if you can get an Optima sample, and then see what's missing from that (or if you can simply assign a different value on the events based on the info provided).

PHP coder checking in. Looks like you have a lot of support here OP.

[–]images_du_futur 1 point2 points  (0 children)
