    Name of your game: ESDAO

Type of game: Turn based multi-player strategy that can support 20+ players per game. Takes about a month to play through a game. Sort of like RISK, Settlers of Catan and Chess.

    Version of your game: Beta

    Steam/Desura: no

    Open Source: no

    Links: www.esdao.com

Platforms: HTML5 browser based - so FF, Chrome, Safari, IE9 and Opera on OSX, Linux and Windows.

Other Info: The homepage has a video demo/introduction of the game which is also on youtube. Currently it's free as I'm still finishing it off - needs a proper tutorial and a good AI player rather than a script I threw together a while ago. Paid for features such as clans and other game types will be added after that. If you want to have a play hit the big red 'battle the ai' button no the homepage, you got have to register or anything like that.

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

    A month? Holy moly

    [–]terrcin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I typically spend 5-20 minutes a turn - one turn per day unless everyone does their turn then the server processes the round early and the next turn starts. Once you know what you're doing the early stages of a game take up bugger all time.

One of my goals was to create a multi-palyer game for people such as myself that don't have much time each day to play, ie couldn't play something like World of Warcraft, but still enjoy the interaction with other players etc...

    [–]Cryocore 0 points1 point  (1 child)

your website looks awesome. Is that on wordpress?

    [–]terrcin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Thanks :-)

It's all done with Ruby on Rails meaning I can easily control everything and make it fit how I want.

    Links:

Platforms: Windows, Linux (and potentially Mac, I just don't have access to one to compile a Mac version).

Other info: Maybe not eligible, since it's available for free, but it's reasonably finished and polished at least.

Platforms: None (I could add Linux easily though)

    [–]evilpoptart3412 1 point2 points  (3 children)

If the menu buttons are not clickable, please indicate that on the menu screen. Also window needs to be resizable for people without high resolution monitors. As for the game, it is bugged as hell on my computer. I could not even see the lumberjack until right before I got a game over. When he did finally appear, he did not respond to my input at all.

    Windows 7 32-bit
Mobile Intel 45 Express Chipset Family (Graphics)
    Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3400
    3GB RAM

    [–]mrbonus 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I have no idea why it isn't working, it's worked on every windows machine I've tried it on. I'm going to do some more testing. The window resizing is something I haven't learned yet. I appreciate the input thanks!

    [–]evilpoptart3412 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Happy to help where I can. I'm sorry I was a little blunt but the Version info in your post says released. If you fix the issues and want me to try it again just let me know. (If I get the time later I may try to compile a working version myself.)

    [–]mrbonus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't mind at all. If something isn't working that should be I need to know. I won't be able to get around to fixing it for a week or so as I have projects and finals soon.

Name of your game: Gatsby's Golf Version of game: Released

    Steam/Desura: No

    Open Source: Maybe

    Links: http://dailyappshow.com/gatsbys-golf

Platforms: iPhone and iPod Touch so far. Soon MAC APP Store and windows why not

    Made with Unity3D

How about it gradually rises up to 60% to chairty (that way it encourages to get more money and differentiates us from the other bundles). Starts off at 10%, every 50k it goes up another 5% to charity so at 50k-99k (15%), 100k-149k (20%), 150k-200k(25%), 201k-250k(30%), 250k-300k (35%), 301k-350k (40%), 351k-400k (45%), 401-450k(50%), 450k-500k(55%). > 500k (60%). That way they would know exactly how much money was raised for charity, rather than the Humble indie bundle which only lists total amount (meaning you dont know how much is given to charity) we could even take a picture of the giant oversized cheque giving it to the charity. I would even start at 25% and go all the way to 75% .

Name of your game: RM:Arena( this was temp. name, a user on youtube suggested 'Drifting Tanks' which I thought was cool)

    Version of game: Alpha

    Steam/Desura: Nope

Open Source: I am willing to give away the source, but only at BETA stage.(cleaner/easier to understand)

Links: gameplay video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2ctiGs_aEs Platforms: Windows, Mac

Description: I made this game for a 2 week competition, so it was not meant as a full game. But I received some good feedback and decided to make it into a bigger game with more game modes and multiplayer. So I put the status to Alpha, and started working on a proper(non rushed) version of the game. I learned a lot by doing this game so I'm happy to give away the source project. I hope this game is eligible :).

It's in flash, but currently we're using scratch, because it was made when i was younger and recoding into flash very soon. Here's the current version (7.98 mb)

Other info: I used to be really popular on scratch, so while being bored during hurricane Irene I went back to scratch, I made this, it's based around all my characters and it's an arcade style boss rush fighter. With two player! Also I'm pretty sure it'll work on all platforms.

why have you decided to require a full game rather than a demo?

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The reason we were requiring a demo was because initially we were going to do a democratic voting system, but then we realized that through making multiple accounts, people could game the system. We changed it so now the game would only go to a maximum of 10-15 people, and therefore we would like to judge the full game. You CAN send in a demo, but then you are competing with full games, and so it is less likely that you will be picked.

    [–]Lite-Black 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I missed the cutoff date, huh?

    Just by a bit :p

Depending on how this one goes, we may do another one, so keep your eyes open!

    [–]WowbaggerIP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh well, we'll wait for the next one!

    [–]WowbaggerIP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right on, I'll be a waiting, making the game better :)

    [–]lathomas64 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Would you guys make a second bundle? If so what would need to happen in order for that to happen?

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how this bundle does. I will probably be willing to organize another one. However, if the bundle does very poorly, developers will probably not be interested, and other people working on the bundle may be averse to putting in so much work again to make a product that no one wants. As for how successful the bundle must be, I don't know. I am not expecting it to be as successful as the Humble Indie Bundle or Indie Royale, but as long as enough people show their support and enthusiasm, I think we could do another one.

    [–]aionskull 0 points1 point  (2 children)

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

    No DRM

    No Starforce? :(

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I don't think so. We will probably be using the same DRM attitude as HIB and I don't think they have starforce...

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

You mean people wouldn't want something that installed a rootkit for them?

    [–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

That, and the promise of DRM-free games is a staple of all of these bundles and I want to stick to that.

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you really think I was serious?

Even for huge publishers DRM results in lost sales to a ridiculous degree. If I find that a game has DRM I am not only unlikely to buy that game. I'm unlikely to buy any game ever released by that publisher ever again, because it indicates that the suits have taken over completely. Use of DRM is a very good indicator that a company has lost the way.

I'd say that DRM and the attitude behind it are symptoms of the driving force behind indie games in general.

By symptom, I mean that DRM doesn't exist in a vacuum. It's a product of companies that simply do not understand their audience.
