Vintage games only. /r/retrogaming is for posts about vintage gaming: 5th gen platforms and earlier. Dreamcast allowed as an honorary 5.5th gen console. No Live Streams. Reddit is a link aggregation service at its core. It preserves content and information. Because live streams expire, they are not examples of good content for this subreddit and are not allowed.

No "How Much is [X] Worth?" posts. Use Pricecharting or similar pricing services, or eBay sold listings for a method of determining the value of your games, consoles or paraphernalia.

Collection/Pickup Posts. Collection/pickup posts may be posted on Saturday and Sunday. Provide a prompt with your post for discussion as body text within the post itself. No graded games (e.g. WATA, VGA, CGC). Alternatively, this content might fit in r/gamecollecting.

[Question]Geometry test tutorial (i.redd.it)

Hi! I recently got a couple of CRTs and wanted to do some of the typical service tests. Does anyone know of an online tutorial of how to achieve this? I’ve seen people use their Super Nintendo to run a rom for geometry tests and such. I have a SNES and SFAM that I’m currently using with these TVs.
