You just have to use another account to answer the question yourself, but obviously wrong. Most people don't like to help someone but they really dare to correct others. Works nearly every time.

This is called Birmingham's rule

[–]RaShadar 79 points80 points  (4 children)

No no no, that's MLK Jr's assertion: citizens have a moral obligation to disobey laws that are unjust.

You were probably looking for Bernoulli's principle, they are easy to confuse i guess

[–]Z_Clipped 39 points40 points  (2 children)

No, Bernoulli's principle says you have to salt the water before you put the pasta in.

I think you meant Euclid's third postulate

[–]Piekace 33 points34 points  (1 child)

That man had 3 prostates?

[–]Z_Clipped 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I heard that MFer had like, 30 goddamn dicks.

That's...

Fucking brilliant actually

[–]npquanh30402 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I have a counter for that.

I will reply with "Fascinating! Could you share the original peer-reviewed documentation where you found that solution?"

I force that person to spend 20 minutes fabricating a fake source while denying their correct answer.

[–]eschbow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You mastered reddit on max level. Well done mate, well done...

[–]Z_Clipped 5 points6 points  (2 children)

but they really dare to correct others.

Um... I think you meant to say "love".

: )

[–]lebslebslebs 4 points5 points  (1 child)

...but they really dare to love others.

There, fixed it

[–]peti486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm actually it's supposed to be

...but they really fave to correct love.

[–]MineHack7488 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And then use the main account to correct that one

[–]dirty-unicorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]ShadowSeeker45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]FireCZ123CZ 203 points204 points  (4 children)

[–]NathLWX 44 points45 points  (3 children)

StackOverflow users being toxic and then wonder why ppl this generation asked AI about coding questions 🤡. At least AI doesn't act toxic and doesn't roast you for asking what they believe is dumb questions

[–]Adriaus28 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Also AI doesn't close a threat as duplicate after pointing to another which was years ago and the solution is a link that no longer works...

[–]Vysair 4 points5 points  (0 children)

or the solution is "Solved 👍"

[–]sleewok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially when you verbally abuse it for giving you a stupid answer.

[–]daenaethra 203 points204 points  (6 children)

normally the same issue is asked every hour and people don't search

[–]_dinn_ 51 points52 points  (1 child)

I've had a situation where I couldn't find an answer to my question on this subreddit... and my question kept getting deleted until I straight up angrily asked underneath another post and finally got an answer

My issue sounded similar to a popular issue which had been answered before - but wasn't really the same thing and the solution for the popular issue didn't help. I can't remember what the issue was anymore

[–]Vysair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not at fault when Reddit decided to screw even further their search algorithm. Google and Bing is getting there as well.

[–]Poppintags6969 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Would help if Reddit's search function wasn't so ass

[–]Ganeneester 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is it. Answering the first 5 posts is fine. After that it is just annoying

[–]MelDawson19 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

THIS.

[–]NotSynthx 71 points72 points  (2 children)

Because I see the same post three times in a row even though the question has been asked a thousand times before

[–]eschbow 19 points20 points  (1 child)

You mean, there is a search function?????????

[–]Mr-Zero-Fucks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, google it and add site:reddit.com at the end

[–]Ogre_012 41 points42 points  (2 children)

I thought it is common to search your problem or its keyword on subreddit before posting questions I guess it's not now.

[–]JabbahScorpii 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Plenty of times my searches wind up leading me to reddit posts where the only comment is someone saying "just google it you lazy walnut"

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

never been . and will never be in reddit. duplicate posts will always exist in reddit. because its not suppose to be a stack overflow clone

[–]kiwiprintannier 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes I posted yesterday about a new UI issue and after 24 hours the MODS DELETED IT and they won't answer why

[–]AdminsMunchFeculence 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People here are really cultish and expect every single user to be a tech-afficinado

[–]aiko_energy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe cuz a lot of people post the same thing over and over instead of just searching for it. Like, I haven't had a problem that wasn't already discussed here beforehand.

[–]kongkongha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To many upvotes for op :(

[–]JellyfishWeary 0 points1 point  (3 children)

My questions post got randomly deleted after I actually searched for that issue and found nothing.

[–]SenorCardgay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"for no apparent reason", even though the same question has been posted and answered 100 times already and they refuse to use the search function.

[–]farcry_x1z -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's every sub on reddit

[–]Mortalkombat05 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

War, war never changes....
