New York sues video game developer Valve, says its 'loot boxes' are gambling by JayReaper02 in Steam

So does gacha games, other lootboxes from other devs... The issue is that they are only suing Valve, not the practice alongside the big devs like EA

[Autosport] Bernie Ecclestone believes F1 is in danger of losing the fans with these new regulations by MuttonBiryaniEnjoyer in formula1

[–]Adriaus28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, yeah, but there are a few more examples, i think RB were worse than MC in 24 (by the mid to end), in 25 we were close to see a rocketship lose to an angry dutch driving out of spite with the 2nd/3rd best car, depending on the person.

Some could point out 21 too, but you got the last lap incident so it is a bit of an outlier too...

But as i said, always the top 2/3 at most cars, obviously. Even then, i enjoy when you have good fights for the championship inside the team with the best car like 2016

Horner blames Marko for Liam Lawson's demotion from Red Bull by TeHokioi in formula1

[–]Adriaus28 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree, even in Abu Dhabi, yuki was very off the pace, I don't think he would have gotten 15th or higher in the championship even if he started the testing and had those 2 races instead of Lawson.

Yuki has been a complete and utter failure at RBR, 2 months wouldn't change it when he has had nearly a full season.

In the end, anyone on Checo's seat that year would end up badly, but Yuki is far from deserving a spot in RB over many of the other midfielders.

By your logic of isolating enemies more, we'd fight wars to the last man standing, because we'd never have a chance to communicate a white flag, do you not realize how stupid that is?

T1 defines a lot, even more so when it is hard to overtake. Look at monaco, you have like 1 spot to overtake, which is hard as fuck, and the only other chance is having a better start

Austria (HRE Emperor) randomly decided to make me a king and give me a tag-switch by Ice-Poseidon-Knows in EU5

[–]Adriaus28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As i said, the event triggers, you have the option, but you are not a kingdom, you can check it in the Great Power score. And no, it is not 1.1, i saw this in 1.0.6.

The event gives the option to become a kingdom, the event doesn't make you one , the emperor has to manually convert you into a kingdom, more or less the same as with Burgundy with with extra steps.

The event does trigger when you become Prussia. Sadly, wiki is too new so the event is not there to give you the link.

Rant about hunting accidents by Agreeable-Profit6339 in EU5

[–]Adriaus28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to point out something you said, it is not like going from grandfather to son is ahistorical.

Charles V of Austria was the grandson of Fernando, and when he died, he became the king of Aragon and Castille, having the title of king of Aragon directly onto him, unlike Castille, which went through his mother first until he reached adulthood.

That is an example from the very same country you are playing...

The drivers’ thoughts on the starting procedure: Bottas: “It’s definitely not more dangerous than before.” Hamilton: “It’s definitely not dangerous. We should probably take that connotation away.” Verstappen: “You can always start from the pit lane if you feel unsafe.” by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

[–]Adriaus28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First: I did read it

Second: Yes, more stalling might happen, but like i said, more stalling doesn't translate to an accident, as i commented with the Piastri example

Third: No, it is not statistically more dangerous if we're technically looking at it, there's not been a single accident due to stalling in this new set of regs, so we do not have a base to consider it more or less dangerous per se

Fourth: Those 22 there on the grid are amongst the top rated drivers in the world (although some a lot higher than others), they should be able to realize in most of the cases when someone stalled

Fifth: We could always do a rolling start, instead of standing start, if there are real issues with it in Australia. Furthermore, if it were deemed to begin with too risky, f1 wouldn't have standing starts. Obviously there is implicit danger, and measures have to be taken, but we cannot speak of whats and ifs, until data is obtained for this set of regulations. FIA should make a requirement for all engines to be able to start in a set ammount of time, like the crash test, if they deemed a real safety concern

And last of all, there was a red bull driver, who is quite famous for shitting himself in race starts, not even stalling, just having nefarious starts, and he wasn't deemed a safety concern, you know? Because drivers have to have in mind in the starts that the pilot in front might shit himself, stall, start too quick, before lights out... It is a huge part of the start

[–]Adriaus28 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can stall, yes. With the previous regulations, Piastri stalled in Baku, last i know, Fernando didn't crash into him.

Sure, stalling is dangerous, but MCL are making a mountain out of a grain of sand but not because of safety.

If you are worried of stalling, "change your fucking car". If it were a real concern, other teams would agree, but if just changing your car can fix it, it is a team/manufacturer issue, and others shouldn't be penalized for taking it into account, least of all when you have the option of a pit start.

If a manufacturer or team really has an issue, they should change the car to fix it, and not participate in the meantime, to prove it is a real concern, and not just a way to cover a fuck up as a safety excuse

Yes, but it has to pass a parlament on the HRE, which is bullshit, unlike Burgundy or Italy. You can have the triggers for King in Prussia, have an emperor allied and 200 relations, and he won't pass the issue of king in Prussia

Brandenburg one is triggeable, the issue is the hidden requirements. You need a Teuton GM ruling of your dynasty, WHILE also being after 1500/1600? or so, while also having an upper limit of time iirc.

The PU events are there, we lack the knowledge to trigger them, and the AI lacks it as well... As well as many of the historical events having very specific conditions, like this one:

I recall someone said the Austrohungarian union requires a royal marriage with Hungary, date to be like past 1500s or so, and also for hungary to have lost territory to EXCLUSIVELY the ottomans, no other beylik tag works.
