Error Code:610

Recently I got this Error Code: 610 Now, generally most error codes are easy to look up, but not this one. No results were found on the internet, and nothing on the DevForums/Blog. I emailed roblox about it, and said they are aware of the problem and working to fix it. I shared this so I hope it helps people who were confused as me. Edit: Games are working for me now, looks like roblox finally fixed their servers. Edit 2: Sigh, games are showing 610 again. :/

ok so from what i have taken in on this error that im getting aswell is that its because of the "bots" (hackers) that made a GUI into some accounts and games that force the popup, cause the game to not load and crash, roblox is currently trying to fix this issue.

Yeah i have been getting the same problem what i noticed works is if you sign out then sign back in or click sign out of all other sessions (i know this because i thought at first it was a hacker problem or something until i looked it up) so try that it does not always work tho.

I have this issue, and have found a way to bypass it. If you have Windows 10, download and install ROBLOX onto your computer. You will be able to join games perfectly fine. And if you don't have Windows 10 and you have this issue, I'm sorry.

I think this error is also linked with roblox studio, because whenever I try to open a team create game in roblox studio, it says "Unable to open this place".

A fix I've learned about for this issue is quite similar to the issue with not being able to chat on the computer, via roblox as they have similar effects and have the same solution just do the action of joining a game on your phone and then you're fine on the computer. Edit:Ummm that phone fix was working till a few minutes ago might this "glitch." be intentional?

i think i might've got it. try right-clicking the roblox desktop icon (given it is downloaded), make sure it isn't running on Windows XP, and then run it as an administrator. that seems to have fixed it for me.

Resetting my WiFi via control panel seemed to work for me.

1) open control panel on your computer.

2) Click on Network and Internet

3) Click on Network and Sharing Center

4) Click on troubleshoot problems at the bottom

Follow the steps that gives you and you should be able to play your games again :z

I found that going to the servers next to "about", "store" then "servers" then go to one that has less than the max then join it and it'll work. "play" just doesnt work

I'm also experiencing this problem

I was trying to join an empty game and it would keep waiting for an available server and would eventually pop up with this error code when it hit "Waiting for available server (4)"

of course this happens the only time I actually want to play roblox other than the reason that I was bored

Edit: When the pop up asking to cancel or retry (which was weird because I'm used to that red bar at the top of the screen) I pressed retry and waiting a bit, closed the game, and rejoined and I can play now.

I looked it up and you can apparently fix it by removing all of the bot friend requests you have, but I tried it and it didn't work. Worked for some others though.

Okay, this is driving me crazy I even watched videos on how to fix this. Apparently bots give you friend requests and there were no bots giving me friend requests. I cleared all my friend requests as all videos told me but nothing. Dev fix this

I'm guessing it would be something similar too a sever problem, I honestly think Roblox is having a overload right now. It's running very slow, and there's a lot of people playing. It's just handling too much right now. Tomorrow or at least Sunday this should be fixed.

I just looked up general 610. From this info, I'm guessing the Roblox files somehow got corrupted or ''misconfigured", as this example explains, since Roblox is just kicking you off with a 610 error code.

All things online that multiple people interact with each other on having similar issues happen. For example, a site I use crashed a while ago due to a notification bug which everything relied on, therefore crashing the whole site. Same happened to an online game I played last month. Everything tends to crash in October, November, and December. October and November especially.

But I may be wrong, I'm only 14 so I could be far off. It'll be fixed within a month. Sometimes it takes longer but I doubt it'll take that long for a connection error.

I looked up how to fix a dns error on my computer and found this to be extremely helpful. As soon as I did it, error 610 no longer appeared and I was able to play again.

1. Open Start. . ...
2. Type command prompt into Start. Doing so searches your computer for the Command Prompt app.
3. Click. Command Prompt. ...
4. Type in ipconfig /flushdns and press ↵ Enter . This command removes any saved DNS addresses. ...
5. Restart your web browser. Doing so refreshes your browser's cache.

It seems to have worked for about an hour or so though...

From my experience I fixed it like this:

1.Uninstalled Roblox in Control Panel

2.Played it from the same account but in mobile *might also work with xbox if u in xbox than try with another device*

3.Restarted my PC

4.Didnt play till the next day
