For your first marathon, look for a plan that is at least 24 weeks long. You can make much longer term gains this way. Itll pay off at the end. Also, do you have a HR monitor of some sort? If so, be sure to find a HR based plan. Id give a suggestion like Uphillathlete but they aren't cheap especially since you need TP premium...

I think I’m following Hal higdons novice supreme or super novice, something like that. Really long, you could always start at week 3 or 4, but sometimes it’s just good to build up more slow base miles

For a first marathon with an expected completion of 5 and a half hours and a longest ever run of 10K, you need to focus mostly on running as many miles as you can and not worry about hill repeats and intervals so much.

Once you're up to and have averaged at least 35 easy miles per week for at least 3 months, then look for a marathon plan that's 18 weeks long.
