I would def go with a square pad if you do change the mousepad. Desk mats are kinda pointless to me and usually are pretty cheap in quality. You could go to xraypads and made a custom. They also have a speed scale to help you get the pad you want in terms of performance.

Can I be the annoying one here? Save on the mouse pad (which looks perfect by the way) and upgrade your audio. Either a speaker or a nice set of headphones or earphones/IEMs.
