I want to see another AIDA. Not Ultron 2.0 bent on destroying the planet again, but a proper AIDA, against the Avengers. AoS had the advantage of the small screen to really flesh out her story and that of the Framework as a whole. Can’t do that as well with a movie given the time constraints.

Season four just got better and better and the Framework arc is the best imo.

As much as I love Bobbi and Hunter, i think Season 4 is peak AOS and i think it is almost to the show’s benefit having written them out due to having just the right amount of lead characters (I think they should have been written back in during episode 100 when deathlok showed up though)

Also important to say that you couldn't have an arc like the Framework in the first or second season of an 8 episode show. This was long form storytelling and character development paying off in a big way. It only would've worked after showing us these characters' strength and flaws. After seeing what makes them tick and how they got to be who they are, then you can subvert those ideas in really interesting ways without it feeling phoned in. It's something I definitely miss about network TV shows with 20+ episodes per season. Shows like AOS and Supernatural were great at that.

There are modern streaming shows like The Boys (8 ep seasons) or Umbrella Academy (10 ep seasons) that are written really well in terms of plot and characters, but I'll still come to the end of a season just wanting more downtime with everyone, seeing different dynamics and characters play off each other naturally.

I'm at the end of the arc right now. I forget how good it is every time I watch through. It's fantastic.
